Age on EVVA, and why adult content is shown by default

EVVA shows adult content by default. If you have never opened the Adult content setting, adult material is included in your feed, your search results and Discover — and the same is true for anyone browsing signed out.

What EVVA checks about your age

You must be 18 or over to use EVVA. That is the only age threshold in the product, and 18 is the only age fact EVVA ever stores — whether a document check established that a person is over 18. EVVA does not keep a date of birth or an age.

That check only ever applies to creators, and only to creators who declare that they will post 18+ content. See Choosing “18+ content” or “General content” as a creator.

How adult material is marked

A post or a file carries an adult / not-adult rating, and that rating is what the Adult content setting filters on. A creator’s own content list shows the rating against each item, and reads Not rated until one has been recorded.

There is a second, separate signal: the declaration a creator gives once during onboarding about their account as a whole. That one covers the account, not individual posts, and it is not shown to fans as a per-post label.
