Signing in to EVVA

For everyone — the single sign-in page, where it sends you afterwards, and what each refusal on it means.

Sign in at /login on EVVA. The page is headed Log in, the button reads Sign in (and Signing in… while it works), and the same page is used by fans and creators alike. Log In on the EVVA website points here for everybody.

The creator app has its own form too, headed Creator sign in, with the same email and password.

Where you land afterwards

EVVA decides for you, in this order:

  1. If you arrived from a page that needs you signed in, you go back to that page.
  2. If your account holds creator access, you are carried into the Creator Studio.
  3. Everyone else lands on the EVVA home page.

Your access is read from EVVA’s records on every request, not from the token in your browser — so access granted or removed minutes ago is already in effect.

Rule 3 catches people who registered on the creator site and did not finish onboarding. Their account is still a buyer account, so a later sign-in lands them on the EVVA home page rather than in the studio. See Signing up as a creator for how to resume.

If you would rather choose for yourself, open /become-a-creator: an account that already holds creator access is offered Go to your creator studio there.

”Invalid email or password.”

One message covers three different situations, on purpose:

  • the address has no account,
  • the password is wrong,
  • the account exists but has no password at all.

The third is the one that surprises people. An account created by signing in with Google has no password, so a password sign-in on it is refused exactly like a wrong password. Use Forgot your password? — on such an account that sets a password for the first time. See Resetting your password.

”Too many attempts. Please wait and try again.”

EVVA allows 10 failed sign-in attempts in 10 minutes for one email address from one internet connection. Past that, sign-in is refused for the rest of that window. The creator app words it as Too many login attempts. Try again in Ns and counts the seconds down for you.

Waiting it out is the whole fix — nothing is locked and nobody needs to unlock it. A successful sign-in clears the count.

This limit is not an account lock, and it does not mean somebody has been trying to break into your account. If you are worried that someone has your password, see Keeping your account secure.

Signing in without a password

  • Continue with Google works and is the quickest route if that is how you made the account. See Signing in with Google.
  • Continue with X signs you in once you have attached X to your account. See Signing in with X.

If you cannot sign in to the creator app

Every password-reset link EVVA sends points at the main EVVA app. To reset a creator account’s password, go to EVVA’s /auth/reset-password page, reset it there, then come back and sign in.

A note on the “Role” line on your account page

Your account page shows a role. That label is not what decides what you can do — your access is, and EVVA reads it fresh on every request. If a creator page refuses you with a message naming a permission, see Connected accounts and where your settings live.
