Using EVVA as a fan

For fans — how to get an account, what is in the app, and what your account page holds.

Sign up with an email address and a password, and you have everything a fan needs. There is no application to complete and nothing to verify first: the account you create on EVVA is a fan account (the product calls it a buyer account in places) and it can browse, subscribe, buy and chat straight away.

Create your account

Open the sign-up page

Press Sign up in the top bar, or New here? Create an account on the sign-in page. The heading reads “Create your account”.

Enter an email and a password

The password must be at least 8 characters, and at most 128.

Press Create account

You are signed in immediately and land on the EVVA home page. A confirmation email goes out at the same time.

If the email address already has an EVVA account, you are told “An account with this email already exists.” That includes an account created by signing in with Google — see Which EVVA site do I sign in to?.

What is in the app

Once you are signed in, the sidebar carries:

  • Home — your feed.
  • Chats — your conversations with creators.
  • Notifications
  • Discover — browse creators.
  • Promotions
  • Marketplace — marked NEW in the sidebar.
  • Following
  • Library — what you have saved and unlocked.
  • Subscriptions

Your account menu adds Purchases, Settings and Log out. If your account has creator access, a Creator Studio entry appears there too, described as “Posts, media and your public page”.

Signed out, the sidebar shows Home and Discover only.

Confirming your email

Registration sends a confirmation email with a link that is valid for 24 hours. Opening it shows “Confirm your email”; the link is only spent when you press Confirm my email, so a mail scanner opening it first does not burn it.

Confirming your email records that the address is yours. You are not blocked from browsing, subscribing, buying or messaging while it is unconfirmed, so there is no rush — but confirm it when the mail arrives.

If the confirmation email never turns up, sign in, open the confirm-email page and use Send me a new link. That control needs you to be signed in, so a signed-out visitor is told “Sign in and we will send you a new link” instead.

Your account page

Settings in the account menu opens your account page. It shows the email address you signed up with, a Role line, a Connected accounts panel and a Log out button.

The Role line is the label on your account record. What you can actually do is decided by the capabilities your account holds — creator access, for example, is a capability added to an ordinary account.

Three things worth knowing about that page:

  • Changing your password. Use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page. It replaces a password you already know, and it is also how you set a password for the first time on an account that has none.
  • Signing out. Log out ends the session on the device you are using. A device list and a Sign out everywhere action live in the creator studio’s settings.
  • Connected accounts. The Connected accounts panel is where you connect X to your account.

Becoming a creator later

Nothing about your fan account has to change. Become a Creator in the sidebar leads to the same onboarding a new creator goes through, and you keep full fan access on the same account. See Using EVVA as a creator.
