What happens after you ask for a refund
For fans with a refund request open — who decides it, where the money goes, and what each status line means.
The creator decides. EVVA passes your request to the person who sold you the order and does not issue a refund on its own, does not approve one for them, and does not promise one on their behalf.
The status lines on your request
Where the money goes
You do not choose, and neither does the creator. A refund goes back the way the payment came in:
- Paid with a card — the money goes back to that card, through the payment provider. Expect a few days before it shows on your statement.
- Paid from your EVVA balance — the money goes back to your EVVA balance.
Money that returns to your EVVA balance stays on your EVVA balance. There is no route that moves a balance back out to a card or a bank account, so a refunded balance payment is spendable on EVVA rather than withdrawable.
How long it takes
There is no time limit on the creator answering, and nothing approves a request for them if they do not. No number of days turns a request into a refund.
Once a refund has actually been sent to the payment provider, a few days is normal before it appears on a statement — that part is your bank’s timing, not EVVA’s.
If the payment provider refuses the refund, your request stays open rather than showing as granted, and the creator is told to try again or contact support. A request that failed at the money rail never reads as a completed refund.
If it is declined
The decline shows the creator’s own explanation. There is no appeal and no review by EVVA — but the decline frees the slot on that order, so the link changes to Ask again and you can send a new request with more detail.
If you are getting nowhere, see Something is wrong with a purchase. For a marketplace order specifically, you can also open a support thread: How to get help with a marketplace order.
Refunds and your bank are different things
Asking your bank to reverse a payment is a chargeback, not an EVVA refund, and it follows your bank’s process instead of this one. See Reversed by your bank.
