How do I subscribe to a creator?

For fans — the subscribe flow step by step, what the price on the button means, and why you are not subscribed the instant you pay

Subscribe from the creator’s profile page. The button carries the price and the period, for example Subscribe · $7.00/mo. A monthly plan reads /mo and a yearly plan reads /yr.

Open the creator's profile and press Subscribe

The price on the button comes from the creator’s current plan. Whatever it says is what you are charged — your browser never sends an amount.

Read the disclosure in the sheet

Before you commit, the sheet states: “Your card is saved and charged again each period until you cancel. Cancel any time — the period you already bought stays yours.” It also repeats the price per period.

Enter your card details

The number, expiry and CVC go straight to the payment gateway in your browser. EVVA never receives your card number. The card is saved and standing authorisation for future renewals is recorded — see Saved cards and standing authorisation.

Wait for the notice, and do not press again

The button is taken off the screen and replaced by: “Your card details were accepted. EVVA is waiting for the platform to confirm the money — your subscription starts on its own once it does.”

If you already have a card on file

The sheet offers a single press instead, and it names the card: Unlock Visa •••• 4471 · $7.00. No card details, no new permission — the saved card and its standing authorisation are already in place.

Why you are not subscribed straight away

The subscription begins when the payment provider confirms the money, which happens after you leave the sheet. If you check the profile immediately, it can still say you are not subscribed.

This is normal and needs nothing from you. The relationship starts on its own. Do not press Subscribe a second time — a second press opens a second subscription order and a second charge. See How paying works on EVVA.

Once it has started, the subscription appears on the Subscriptions tab of your Following screen, with a chip reading Renews 9 Oct · $9.99 or similar. The price shown there is the price you subscribed at — it is pinned to the plan version you bought, not to whatever the creator charges today.

Things that stop a subscription before any money moves

Each of these is refused with nothing charged:

  • You already subscribe to this creator. Manage the existing one from your Subscriptions tab instead.
  • It is your own page. “This is your own page — you cannot subscribe to yourself.”
  • The creator is not selling a subscription. “This creator is not open for subscriptions right now. Nothing was taken.”
  • An introductory price you have already used. “This introductory offer has already been taken on this plan.” Nothing is charged, and you are not quietly moved to the full price — you have to choose to subscribe at the standard price.
  • Your balance instead of a card. A subscription must be paid with a card, because the renewal is charged when you are not present.
