How do I request changes instead of accepting?
For fans who got a delivery that is not right — how to ask for a fix, what it does to your money, and how long the creator has.
On a delivered order, press Request changes instead of accepting. Your money stays in escrow, the creator gets another go, and the order moves to Changes requested.
You can only do this while the order is Delivered — not after you have accepted it.
Ask for changes
Open the delivered order
From My orders on /marketplace, open the order. Request changes is beside Accept and release $X.
Read the callout
It says “The creator gets one round of changes on this order. Payment stays in escrow until you accept.”
Pick what needs fixing
Choose one of Different framing, Wrong length, Lighting, Not the brief or Quality.
How many changes you get
The line under the Details box tells you what is left on this order: “One revision left on this order.”, “3 revisions left on this order.”, “No revisions left on this order.” or “Revisions are agreed with the creator.”
That count is what remains after what has already been used, not the allowance the listing advertised.
If the count says none are left, sending the request is refused. Where a delivery is genuinely not what you ordered, open a dispute instead — a dispute is not limited by the revision allowance.
What happens next
The order reads Changes requested and “You asked for changes. Your money stays held until the creator delivers again.” The creator has 72 hours to answer.
While the request stands:
- Your money stays in escrow — the footer reads “$X stays in escrow until the creator answers.”
- You cannot accept the delivery, and nothing accepts it automatically.
- The order’s button becomes Message [creator].
When the creator delivers again, the order goes back to Delivered and you can accept, ask again if you have a revision left, or dispute.
Changing your mind
The order shows the standing request under the heading Changes requested, with Cancel this change request. Withdrawing it puts the order back to Delivered with the accept button on it.
If the creator says nothing
The 72 hours is the window the creator is asked to deliver again in, not a timer that pays you back. While it runs and after it passes, your money stays in escrow. If your request goes unanswered, open a dispute so EVVA reviews it and records an outcome.
