Why does my order say it is awaiting payment?
For fans whose order exists but has not been paid for — why it happens, and how to finish paying.
Because placing the order and paying for it are two steps, and only the first one happened. The order is real, the terms are recorded, and nothing has been charged: “The order is raised and is waiting for your payment. Nothing is held until it is made.”
The creator cannot start while an order sits here. On their side it also reads Awaiting payment, with the amount marked Not paid yet and no controls on it — there is nothing for them to accept and nothing owed. To finish, open /marketplace, go to the My orders tab, and press Pay $X on the order.
How an order ends up here
- You pressed Order · $X on a creator’s full service page. That route raises the order and takes no payment at all.
- You reached Complete your payment and closed the sheet, or pressed Pay later — see the order.
- The payment sheet was dismissed: “The payment sheet was closed. Nothing was charged, and this order is still here.”
Pay an order that is waiting
Open My orders
Go to /marketplace and choose the My orders tab. The order is under Active, with the chip Awaiting payment.
Press Pay $X
On the row the button reads Pay $X. Opening the order first works too — the same button is at the bottom of the order.
Your order also appears at /purchases, with the same Not charged amount. Pay it from the My orders tab on /marketplace.
What you can pay with
The panel only offers what this device and this account actually have:
- Pay $X from your balance — shown only when your EVVA balance covers the whole amount.
- Pay $X with [your saved card] — shown when you have a card on file.
- Pay with Google Pay — shown when this device supports it.
If none of the three is available yet, the panel says: “This device has no wallet and you have no saved card yet. Unlocking a post or starting a subscription registers one, and it will be offered here afterwards.” A card registered anywhere on EVVA is offered here the next time you pay.
How long can it sit there?
As long as it takes. Nothing expires the order and nothing charges you automatically. The creator’s side shows it as Awaiting payment with nothing they can do on it, so an order left here stays exactly as it is until you pay it.
If you have changed your mind, leave it: no money is held, and an unpaid order commits you to nothing.
After you pay
The amount label changes from Your budget to In escrow and the chip changes to In progress — “The creator is working on it. Your money is held until you accept.”
On the creator’s side the order arrives as a New request with Accept order on it. Your order reads In progress from the moment the payment settles, whether or not they have pressed it yet.
