What do Your budget, In escrow and Sent to the creator mean?
For fans reading an order — what the amount label says about your money, and what the state chip beside it means.
Every marketplace order shows an amount with a label above it. The label is the one place that tells you where your money actually is.
There is no Paid label on EVVA. The third state reads Sent to the creator, because that is the thing that happened to your money — it left escrow and went to them.
Your budget
You see this on a request nobody has answered yet, and on an order that has been placed but not paid for. In both cases the amount is a figure, not a charge.
On an open request the footer says “Nothing is charged until you accept an offer.” On an unpaid order, see why my order says it is awaiting payment.
In escrow
The money has been taken and is held. The footer under the order says which release it is waiting for:
- “$X is held in escrow until you accept the delivery.”
- “Accepting releases $X to the creator.” — on a delivered order.
- “$X stays in escrow until the creator answers.” — while a change or cancellation request stands.
- “$X stays in escrow while EVVA decides.” — while a dispute is open.
Sent to the creator
The order is over and the money is theirs. The footer names when it happened, for example “Accepted 2 days ago — $89.00 released to the creator.”
The chip beside the amount
The chip names the state of the work. The sentence under the title says what it means for you.
Awaiting offers, or 1 offer / 3 offers
Your request is live and this is how many offers stand. “Open for offers. Creators can answer it.” becomes “Creators have answered. Review their offers.” once there are any. The button reads See offers.
Awaiting payment
“The order is raised and is waiting for your payment. Nothing is held until it is made.” The button reads Pay $X.
In progress
“The creator is working on it. Your money is held until you accept.” The button messages the creator, and Cancel order appears beside it.
Delivered
“The creator delivered. Review it when you can.” The button reads Accept and release $X, with Request changes and a dispute control beside it.
Changes requested
“You asked for changes. Your money stays held until the creator delivers again.” You cannot accept while this stands.
Cancellation requested
“You asked to cancel. Your money stays held until the creator answers.” Nothing has been refunded.
Disputed
“This order is disputed. The platform is holding the money.” The deadline column reads With the platform and the button reads Support.
Completed
“You accepted this delivery. The money has been released.” The button reads See the delivery.
Cancelled, or Closed
Cancelled means the payment came back: “This order was cancelled. Your payment was returned to your balance.” Closed is a request you closed before anyone agreed: “You closed this request. No agreement was made.”
Where these appear
On the My orders tab of /marketplace, under the filters Active, Offers, Delivered and Completed. An order waiting on you — Awaiting offers or Awaiting payment — is highlighted rather than tucked away.
A refunded or disputed order sits under Completed, with its own chip saying which kind of finished it is.
