What is my EVVA balance, and how do I add money?
For fans — what the balance can pay for, the only place you can top it up, and why money cannot come back out
Your EVVA balance is money held on EVVA that you can spend on paid posts, paid messages and tips. It cannot pay for a subscription, and it cannot be paid back out to your card.
Adding money
Topping up happens inside the payment sheet of something you are buying. Open a paid post or message, choose to pay from your EVVA balance, and either choose to top up or land on the “A little short” view if your balance does not cover the item. The sheet is titled Top up your balance.
Quick amounts are 25, 100, or you can type an amount.
- The minimum is 5,000.00 per top-up. An amount outside that is refused: “A top-up must be between 500 and 500000 minor units.”
- If you are short by less than 5.00 minimum, and the button says the raised figure so you can see what you are about to pay.
A top-up is its own payment, separate from the purchase that sent you there: “Top-up requested. Your balance updates once the platform confirms it — then unlock this item from your balance.” So buying the item is a second step after the balance rises.
You cannot pay for a top-up from your balance — that is refused. Use a card.
A top-up is not tied to the item that sent you there. Anything left over after you unlock the item stays on your balance for next time.
Money added here stays here
There is no withdrawal. Nothing moves money from an EVVA balance back to your card or bank — the sheet states “Money added here stays on your EVVA balance.” Only add what you intend to spend on EVVA.
One exception is not a withdrawal: if a purchase you paid from your balance is refunded, the money goes back to the balance it came from. Where a refund goes follows where the money came from; neither you nor the creator chooses.
What the number means
The balance you are shown is a reading taken at that moment, not money set aside for you. It is worked out again at the instant you spend, so if something else spent from the balance in between, a payment can be refused for being more than the balance holds even though the screen said otherwise. Try again with the figure the sheet shows you then.
Balances in different currencies are separate and never combine — there is no conversion between them, so “your balance” is per currency.
