How to pay a marketplace order you have already placed
Pay it from /marketplace: open the Orders panel, select the order, and the payment controls are in the order sheet. Placing the order and paying for it are two steps, and they happen on two different screens.
Placing the order does not charge you. Pressing Order · $199.99 on a service creates the order and nothing more — it sits waiting for payment until you pay it from the Orders panel on /marketplace, so you can leave it and come back to it later.
What you see in the order sheet
You are offered only the payment methods this device and this account actually have, so the buttons differ from person to person. For example, Pay 199.99 with Visa •••• 4471.
If you have neither, the sheet says so: “This device has no wallet and you have no saved card yet. Unlocking a post or starting a subscription registers one, and it will be offered here afterwards.”
After you pay, the order does not immediately read as charged. EVVA records the instruction and the payment provider confirms afterwards, so the status catches up on its own. See What each order status means.
Buying direct from a creator’s page
A checkout that starts from a creator’s storefront works the other way round: you choose an amount, press Review order, then Create pending order, and the payment controls are embedded in the result screen you land on. The result screen tells you plainly where you stand: “Your order is placed. Nothing has been charged yet — complete the payment below.”
After a service order is paid
The money is held rather than paid straight out, and the order moves through a handshake with the creator:
- The creator delivers the work.
- You review it — you can accept the delivery, or request changes.
- Accepting is what releases the money to the creator.
Review the delivery soon after it arrives, so the money reaches the creator. If the work is wrong or never arrives, ask for changes, then see Something is wrong with a purchase — for a marketplace order you can also open a dispute with EVVA Support.
You can leave a review once you have accepted the delivery.
