How do I open a dispute, and what happens next?

For fans whose delivery is wrong or missing — how to get EVVA involved, and what EVVA can and cannot promise.

Open the delivered order and press the warning-triangle button beside Accept and release $X. That opens a dispute: your money is frozen in escrow, automatic acceptance stops, and EVVA reviews both sides.

A dispute is available only on a Delivered order, and not once you have accepted it.

Open a dispute

1

Open the delivered order

/marketplace → My orders → Delivered. The dispute control is the small triangle button in the row of actions, labelled “Open a dispute”.

2

Read the callout

“Opening a dispute freezes $X in escrow. EVVA reviews both sides and decides within 3 days — the auto-release timer stops now.”

3

Say what went wrong

Choose Not what I ordered, Never delivered, Revision ignored or Quality.

4

Explain it

“What you ordered, what arrived, and what you asked for in the revision.”

5

Say what you want

Full refund — “The order is cancelled and $X returns to you.” Partial refund — “You keep the files, the creator keeps part of the payment.” One more revision — “Give the creator a last attempt before deciding.”

6

Press Open dispute

A support thread opens for the order.

What you see afterwards

The confirmation is headed Dispute opened, with a three-step timeline: Dispute opened (just now), EVVA Support replies (in the support thread), Outcome recorded on the dispute (when EVVA decides). Press Open support thread to go to the conversation.

Your order now reads Disputed — “This order is disputed. The platform is holding the money.” The deadline column reads With the platform, and the button on the order becomes Support, which opens the dispute’s own thread.

The 3 days named on the dispute form is the window EVVA works to for reaching a decision. Support may come back to you in the thread before then, so keep an eye on it and answer anything they ask.

Who can see what

The support thread is separate from your conversation with the creator: “EVVA Support can see this order and the messages and files you share in that thread — not your conversation with [creator].” Put anything Support needs into the support thread — screenshots, the brief, what you asked for in a revision.

What a dispute does to your money and your order

  • The amount stays where it is: “$X stays in escrow while EVVA decides.”
  • Nothing can accept the delivery while the dispute stands, including automatic acceptance.
  • Nothing is refunded yet. A refund only happens if EVVA decides on one.
  • The delivery’s files stay on the order, and stop opening if the order is later refunded.

A dispute does not wait on the creator. EVVA reviews the case and records an outcome whether or not they answer, and your money stays in escrow until that outcome is recorded.

Withdrawing a dispute

The order shows the open dispute under the heading Dispute open, with Withdraw this dispute. Withdrawing puts the order back to Delivered, with the accept button and the change request available again, and lets automatic acceptance resume.
