How do I cancel a marketplace order?
For fans who want out of an order in progress — why cancelling is a request, and what happens to the money.
On an order that is In progress, press Cancel order. That opens a request to cancel; it does not cancel anything by itself. Your money stays frozen in escrow while the creator answers.
Nothing is refunded by asking. A refund happens only if the cancellation is granted.
Ask to cancel
Open the order
/marketplace → My orders → Active. Cancel order sits beside the button on an order reading In progress.
You then see Cancellation requested — “[Creator] has 72 hours to answer. $X stays frozen in escrow until then — nothing has been refunded yet, and nothing more is charged.”
What happens next
The order reads Cancellation requested and “You asked to cancel. Your money stays held until the creator answers.”
While it stands, the order’s button is Message [creator], and the request itself appears on the order with Never mind — keep the order under it. Withdrawing it returns the order to In progress.
The 72 hours is the window the creator is given to answer, not a deadline that pays you back. If it passes without an answer, your money stays in escrow and EVVA reviews the request and decides the outcome.
If the cancellation is granted
The order screen opens on the outcome: Order cancelled — “$X is on its way back to your balance. It usually lands within a few minutes.” The order stays readable, with See the order, so you can still see what was asked for and when.
A payment your own bank reversed reads differently: “Your bank reversed this payment, so $X has already left the platform. Nothing more is owed on this order.”
What you cannot cancel
The agreement behind the order cannot be cancelled. Once you and a creator have accepted a set of terms, that agreement is a permanent record — what you cancel is the order it produced. This is why every route out of an order is a request about the order and its money, never an undoing of the deal.
