Creator type and content type — what your two choices change
For anyone at the “Creator type” and “Content” questions — what each card means, and which choice has consequences later.
Creator type is a disclosure and changes nothing about your identity check. Content is the choice with consequences: it decides who can see your profile, which tools open for you, and — if you choose 18+ — whether your identity check also has to prove your age.
Creator type: AI or human
Select your creator type We tailor onboarding to how you make your content. There is no wrong choice.
- AI creator — “Primarily generated or significantly edited with AI tools.”
- Human creator — “Content is of yourself, with no use of AI tools.”
Choosing AI creator does not reduce, replace or skip the identity check. An AI persona still has a person operating it, and that person is who EVVA verifies. The documents asked for and the outcome are the same either way.
Content: general or 18+
What kind of content will you be creating? This decides who can see your profile and which tools we open for you.
- 18+ content — “Nudity, adult themes, or made for mature audiences.”
- General content — “Suitable for audiences of all ages.”
If you choose General content, verification only has to establish who you are. You are never asked for age evidence.
If you choose 18+ content, two separate facts have to be true before your account can open: your identity has to be established, and the check has to show you are over 18. Passing the identity half is not enough on its own.
If your age still has to be confirmed
Your age has to arrive inside the result the verification partner sends back — an age or a date of birth read off your document. An identity-only check does not produce one, and when it is missing EVVA does not guess: it holds you at the last step with

Use a document where the date of birth is printed clearly — a passport or an ID card is usually the easiest — and photograph the whole document inside the frame with no glare across it, so nothing is cut off or unreadable.
If the evidence says you are under 18, that is the end of it: “We could not confirm that you are over 18 — we are not able to open an adult creator account without it.” There is no retry button, and “If you believe this is wrong, contact support with a document that shows your date of birth.”

Can you change either answer?
While your answers are still open — before the identity check starts, and again if the check comes back asking for another try — you can move back with the back arrow and pick the other card. Both are saved again immediately.
Once a check is in flight your answers lock, both arrows go dark, and the wizard refuses changes with “Your answers are locked while we check your identity.” Setup does not reopen after your creator account is open.
If you are choosing 18+ mainly to keep your options open, be aware of the trade: it adds a requirement your document has to satisfy before your account can open at all. Your content choice is also fixed once your creator account is open, so pick the one you actually mean.
