The watermark and the blurred locked preview
EVVA composites a watermark reading getsimplio.com/ and your handle into your photos while it processes them, and it generates a separate blurred thumbnail that stands in for a photo a fan cannot see yet.
Neither is a setting. There is no control anywhere in the creator app that turns the watermark off or changes the blur.
Where the watermark appears
Each photo is processed into five versions. The watermark goes into three of them:
The two small versions are left unmarked on purpose: at that size a mark would cover the picture rather than sit on it.
The mark is scaled to the image rather than being a fixed number of pixels — it is sized and inset as a proportion of the frame, so it looks the same on a small photo and a large one. It is drawn in a light grey with a soft shadow behind it so it stays legible over both dark and bright areas.
The watermark is baked into the image bytes during processing. It is not an overlay added when the photo is shown, so it cannot be stripped by a fan saving the file, and it cannot be removed from a photo you have already uploaded. If you need an unmarked version of a photo, keep your own original.
What a fan sees before they have access
On a locked post, a fan does not receive your photo. They receive the locked preview: a 64 × 64 centre crop, blurred and heavily compressed, with the blur baked into the pixels rather than applied by their browser.
That is deliberately too small and too soft to read as an image. It exists to show that something is there, not to show what.
You can see it yourself: Your wall (preview) has a toggle that asks the image system for that same locked version, so you are looking at exactly what an unentitled fan gets.
The “Blur the preview” switch
The pay-per-view panel draws a switch called Blur the preview, described as “Fans see the real still, blurred, with your price on top.”
It decides how the locked card looks to a fan who has not bought yet — whether that blurred still is what stands in for your photo.
What the switch does not do is change the blurred image itself. Its size and the strength of its blur are fixed during processing, so there is no way to hand a locked post a larger, sharper or different teaser image from that panel.
If you want fans to see a real teaser
There is no way to choose one. A post limited to followers, subscribers or a price cannot carry public media at all, so you cannot put a visible teaser file alongside the locked ones on the same post.
What you can do is publish the teaser as its own free post and let the priced post be the thing being sold. It has to be a different file: the same file cannot be public on one post and locked on another. Both rules are explained in Reusing a file on more than one post.
