When a payout is refused

For creators whose payout request came back with a message — what each one means and what to do next.

A refusal happens before any money moves. Your balance is untouched and nothing was sent, so there is nothing to undo — you only need to fix the cause and ask again.

The messages you may see

  • “Enter an amount greater than zero.” — put in an amount.
  • “That is more than you have available right now. Your available balance may have changed since this page loaded.” — the deciding figure is worked out again at the moment you submit, so a number copied from a stale page can be refused. Reload the page and use the figure it shows. If Available is zero while Pending is not, read When your pending earnings become available.
  • “You have no payout destination on file. Add one before requesting a payout.” — see Add a bank account for payouts.
  • “You have no payout method yet, so there is nowhere to send the money. Add one on this page first.” — the same cause, shown when EVVA tries to read your balance.
  • “Your account is not currently able to receive payouts. Contact support.” — your payout profile is not active. You cannot change this yourself.
  • “That currency does not match your payout balance.” — payouts are USD only, and EVVA will not convert.
  • “That amount is below the minimum payout. Request a larger amount.” — the amount you asked for is under the minimum a single payout can carry. Ask for more, or let the balance build up first.
  • “This payout was not admitted and needs review” — a person has to look at it. Contact support rather than retrying.
  • “Could not reach the payout service. Try again.” — the outcome could not be confirmed. Retrying is safe: EVVA reuses the same request reference, so you cannot end up with two payouts for one request.

A single payout cannot exceed the $500,000 ceiling on the instant US bank rail — ask for less than that, or take it in more than one payout. Payouts are also held while identity verification on your account needs renewing, so check your verification, and contact support if a refusal keeps repeating on an amount you know is available.

Refused is not the same as failed

A refusal stops the request before any transfer exists. A failure happens after EVVA has asked the provider to send the money — the payout row exists, the money is put back, and you must make a new request rather than resubmitting the old one. See If a payout fails or is returned.

Payout screens are creator-only. Anyone else reaching them is told an authenticated creator is required.
