When does escrow release to me?
For creators waiting on a marketplace payment — the event that releases the money, and what to do while a delivery is waiting.
The buyer’s money releases to you when the buyer accepts the delivery. The Deliver sheet says it in one line: This releases to you when the buyer accepts the delivery.
EVVA also runs an auto-acceptance sweep on production, which can accept a delivery on the buyer’s behalf.
Treat the buyer accepting as the event that pays you. If a delivered order is sitting for longer than you expected, the Message link on the order card is where to ask them about it.
Which states hold your money
- Held in escrow — New request, In progress, Delivered, Changes requested and Disputed. The money is with EVVA, not with either of you.
- Not paid yet — Awaiting payment. Nothing has been taken.
- Released — Completed. It has left escrow.
- Returned to the buyer — Refunded.
- Nothing was charged — Cancelled.
Where to see the amount
Every order card carries its own amount and status, and the Deliver sheet shows the order’s figure under In escrow.
The In escrow card in the right-hand column shows what EVVA is holding for you. The amount and status printed on each order card are the per-order record behind it.
The amounts you see are the full price
Every marketplace amount shown to you — the escrow figure, the order card, the Deliver sheet — is the whole sum the buyer paid. EVVA’s share is not subtracted in front of you on these screens.
