Why you are not in Discover
For creators who cannot find their own profile in the directory — the two conditions you must meet, and exactly what unpublishing hides.
You appear in the public creator directory only when both of these are true:
- Your creator profile is active — you finished onboarding and activated.
- Your storefront is published.
Miss either one and you are absent from Discover entirely. Not ranked low: absent.
Turn on the switch
Open Storefront in your creator dashboard and find the publish row.
- When it is on, it reads Published, with the hint “Your storefront is visible to buyers.” Turning it on shows the toast “Storefront published.”
- When it is off, it reads Not published, with the hint “Your storefront is hidden from buyers.” Turning it off shows “Storefront unpublished.”
The moment it reads Published, you are in the directory.
Where you will appear, and in what order
The directory does not rank. It orders by when your creator account was created, newest first, 12 creators per page. A new account starts at the top of the list and drifts down as newer creators join. Nothing you post, earn or publish changes that position.
The search box on the same screen is a different system and it does rank. If you are hard to find by browsing, being findable by name is the lever you have — see The two searches on Discover.
What unpublishing your storefront actually hides
One condition feeds three places at once, so switching your storefront off removes you from all of them together:
- the Discover creator grid,
- the creator suggestion rails that read the same directory,
- the category counts on Discover.
What it does not touch: your posts, and the search index.
That combination surprises people. With your storefront unpublished you can be missing from Discover while your profile and posts still turn up in search results. Unpublishing is not a way to go quiet across the platform.
Your direct storefront link
Your storefront panel also gives you a direct address — /s/ followed by a secret token — that you can share, plus a rotate action.
A visitor who opens it sees one of three pages if something is wrong, each with Browse creators and Home actions:
Rotating the link takes effect immediately and there is no grace period and no forwarding. Every copy of the old address you have ever shared — in a bio, in a post, in a message — stops working the instant you rotate, and anyone who follows one lands on “This link is no longer available.”
A visit through your direct storefront link earns you no traffic credit, because it is not a tracking link. How creators get credited for traffic explains what does.
If the directory is genuinely empty
“No creators yet” / “No one has published a public storefront yet. As soon as they do, they appear here.” is the honest empty state, not an error. A failure reads differently: “Discover unavailable” / “Could not load creators right now. Please try again.”
