How do I propose on a buyer's request?
For creators quoting on bespoke work — direct requests, open requests, how a negotiation ends in an order, and how invitations work.
Buyers can ask for work instead of ordering a listed offer. There are two kinds, and they live on two screens.
- Direct requests — sent to you by name, private, and visible only to you. Open them at Direct requests on the Marketplace tools card.
- Open requests — opened to the whole marketplace, where any creator may propose. Open requests is in your navigation.
Proposing
Open the request, read the brief, and press through to send a proposal. Your terms are a price, a deliverable and a delivery window. Press Send proposal.
From then on it is a negotiation, and it has four moves:
- Counter — send different terms. You see “Counter-offer sent.”
- Accept offer — take the terms standing in front of you.
- Decline — refuse them.
- Withdraw offer — take back terms you proposed.
Whose turn it is decides which of these you are shown. Only one set of terms is standing at a time.
What happens when both sides accept
EVVA records an Agreement — the immutable record of the terms you both accepted — and then turns that agreement into a payable order. The buyer pays into escrow, you deliver, and the money releases when they accept the delivery.
An agreement cannot be cancelled or amended. It is final from the moment it is recorded. If the work needs to stop after that, it is the order that gets cancelled, and the buyer is the one who does it.
Invitations to an open request
A buyer’s open request can be put in front of you as an invitation, and invitations you have been sent appear in the Invited to you panel.
An invitation carries a deadline, and accepting after that deadline is refused. The first creator to accept takes the work. An invitation deliberately does not show you the buyer’s budget.
Do not wait to be invited. Check the Open requests screen yourself — a request nobody proposes on sits there untouched, and the buyer does not know why.
