Reading your click and growth numbers

For creators reading Tracking links and Insights — what Clicks really counts, what each column and panel shows, and how to read a dash against a zero.

Two screens carry your numbers. Tracking links is about the traffic your links sent and what it turned into; Insights is about money that has settled, over a window you choose.

Clicks is a 30-day window, not a lifetime total

The Clicks card counts the visits your tracking links sent in a rolling 30-day window, and the card names the period, with a line like “12 links · last 30 days · 3 turned away”.

The window is sent with the number every time, precisely so the count is never read without its dates. A number that drops week to week usually means an older burst of traffic has aged out of the window.

What “turned away” means

A turned-away click reached your link and was not sent on. The reasons are:

  • the code was malformed, unknown, expired or revoked,
  • the link had no destination to send anybody to at that moment,
  • the destination could not be served from the redirect,
  • a repeat of the same request arrived carrying different details, which would have corrupted the record.

A few turned-away clicks on an old link usually means a stale address still circulating somewhere. A large number against a link you are actively promoting is worth investigating.

Clicks counts redirects that were served, not verified people. EVVA deliberately does not block crawlers and link-preview fetchers — refusing them would break social previews — so a post that unfurls your link in a preview can add to the count. Read Clicks as reach on the link, not as an audience figure.

Follows, Subscribers and Revenue

Alongside its served and turned-away counts, each link carries what its traffic went on to do: the follows, the subscribers and the revenue credited to that link.

Two things follow on that screen:

  • The list opens on Newest, and you can sort by Revenue to put your earning links at the top.
  • A link’s revenue is what its traffic earned. Which share of an order you keep is a separate question, decided at checkout — see How creators get credited for traffic.

The screen reads your links in pages and follows at most five of them, so the totals, the Top chip and the “Showing N of M links” line are computed over your 500 most recent links.

Past 500 links, the screen tells you the list is not your whole account rather than presenting a subtotal as an account total.

Insights

On Insights you can pick a range of 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or all time. Over that window you get:

  • earnings, with the same-length previous window for comparison,
  • a daily series,
  • a split by where the order came from — direct or marketplace,
  • a split by what was bought,
  • your top content by what it earned,
  • where your fans came from, over the dates it names,
  • per-post views, unlocks and earnings,
  • best time to post: unlock rate by day and hour.

A 7-day range makes the day-and-hour panel thin — one quiet evening can look like a pattern. Read best time to post against 90 days or all time before you change when you publish.

If more of your link pages exist than were read, the traffic panel adds “Counted across your most recent links only.”

Dashes, zeros and empty windows

  • An em dash means not measured. A 0 means measured and none. They are never interchanged.
  • An empty window reads “Nothing in this window” / “There is no activity in this range yet. Try a wider one.” On all time, it says “There is no activity in any range yet, and “All time” is the widest window there is.” and offers no action, because there is no wider range to try.
  • A brand-new account reads “No numbers yet” / “Insights fill in once fans start finding you. Your first post is what starts the count.”
  • A failed read reads “That did not load.” with Try again. That is not an empty window — retry it.
