What each identity verification result means
For anyone whose identity check has come back — the outcomes the setup page can show, and what you can do about each.
The setup page can tell you five things about your check: you are verified, it is being reviewed by hand, it needs another try, your age still has to be confirmed, or it was refused. Only the refusals are final; everything else you can act on.
”You are verified”
Everything is in place. Finish setting up to open your creator account.
Nothing has been created yet. The button now reads Open my creator account, and pressing it is what makes you a creator — see what happens when you open your creator account.
”Your verification is being reviewed”
Someone is looking at it by hand. This can take a little longer than the automated check.
Your check did not resolve automatically and a person is reviewing it. There is nothing to do and nothing to resubmit. The page re-checks every 8 seconds while it is open, and closing it changes nothing.
”We need another look at your documents”
The last attempt did not go through. You can try again — it is usually a photo that was hard to read.
There is a Try again button. Press it and you go back to the partner’s check.
This is also what you see if you simply closed the partner’s tab before finishing, or left the check until it lapsed. So it does not necessarily mean a document was rejected — often nothing was submitted at all.
In this state your answers are open again, so before you retry you can use the back arrow to correct anything you got wrong earlier — your name, your handle, your country, your content choice or your price.
Things worth checking before the retry: the whole document inside the frame, no glare across the photo page, the document not expired, and a document type the check accepts — passport, driver’s licence or ID card.
”We still need to confirm your age”
Only 18+ creators see this.
Adult content requires proof that you are over 18. Run the identity check again with a document that shows your date of birth.
Your identity passed. What is missing is the second fact: an age or a date of birth in the result. Retry with a document that clearly shows your date of birth — a passport or ID card usually does.
A passport or an ID card carries the date of birth in a form the check reads most easily. Photograph the whole document inside the frame, with no glare across it, and make sure the date of birth is not cut off at an edge.
”We could not confirm that you are over 18”
We are not able to open an adult creator account without it.
This is final and there is no retry button. The page adds: “If you believe this is wrong, contact support with a document that shows your date of birth."
"We could not verify your identity”
We are not able to open a creator account for you at this time.
Also final from the wizard’s side, and also with no retry button. The page adds: “If you think this is wrong, contact support.” Nothing in setup will reopen on its own, so contacting support is the only route.
EVVA’s team can record a verification decision by hand, with the person who recorded it and their reason kept alongside it. That is the only route back from a refusal, and it starts with contacting support.
Other messages at this step
“Something went wrong. Please try again.” — usually a stale tab: the check has already started, or has already been decided, and the page you are looking at does not know yet. Reload the page and read the state it shows.
“We cannot start the identity check right now. Please try again shortly.” or “Identity checks are temporarily unavailable.” — the check could not be started at all, which is a different problem: see when identity checks are unavailable.
