Referral codes and the affiliate programme
For anyone who entered a referral code, was given one, or is looking for an affiliate arrangement — what the field records, and how an arrangement is set up.
Short answers: the referral code in creator onboarding records who introduced you, affiliate and partner arrangements are agreed with EVVA directly rather than joined from a form, and the one mechanism that changes what you keep on an order is a tracking link.
The referral code in onboarding
The first step of creator onboarding asks for a referral code. It accepts any text between 1 and 64 characters, and it is the only step of the wizard you can skip.
The code is stored on your application as the record of who or what introduced you to EVVA. If somebody gave you a code, enter it at that step so their introduction is on record.
A referral code and traffic credit on an order are two different things. What moves an order’s split in your favour is a buyer arriving through your tracking link, inside its window — see How creators get credited for traffic.
Is there an affiliate programme?
EVVA works with affiliates, partners, media buyers and agencies, and those arrangements are set up with EVVA directly rather than through a self-serve sign-up. If you want one, or somebody has offered you one, ask us before you promote anything on the strength of it.
Two things are worth knowing if somebody offers you an affiliate arrangement on EVVA:
- The link a creator mints on the platform is their own tracking link. An affiliate or partner link is a different instrument, issued under an agreement.
- Every agreement carries a rate that EVVA sets and activates, and it pays on that rate. A rate quoted to you by anybody other than EVVA is not a rate on an agreement.
Splitting one link between several destinations
Links that send different visitors to different destinations are operated by EVVA rather than created by creators. If you need traffic split between destinations, make a separate tracking link for each and name them so you can tell them apart.
What does pay
One thing: a tracking link click followed by a purchase inside 7 days, which moves that order’s split from 50/50 to 75/25 in your favour.
