What you can upload to EVVA
For creators choosing a file to post — the exact formats, size caps and per-post limits EVVA accepts.
EVVA accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP photos, MP4 video, and MP3, M4A, WAV or WebM audio. PDFs can be uploaded too, but only in chat — never on a post.
The check is on the file’s type, exactly, with nothing else allowed through. A HEIC photo or a MOV video straight off an iPhone is refused before a single byte leaves your device.
Formats and size caps
Video has more requirements than its container: see Video requirements and processing.
What is not accepted
HEIC, MOV, GIF, WebM video, SVG, TIFF and AVIF are all refused at the door. So is any type that arrives with extra parameters attached to it.
The picker in Upload from device offers only the types above, so an unsupported file usually will not even open from the file dialogue. One that reaches the composer another way is not added to the post — see Why your upload was rejected.
Phone footage is the common case. If your camera saves HEIC photos or MOV video, export or convert a copy to JPEG or MP4 first — EVVA cannot convert it for you.
PDFs go in chat, not on posts
You can upload a PDF and you can send one in a direct message. You cannot attach one to a post: the post composer’s file picker does not offer PDFs.
If you want a document to reach fans on a post, describe it in the caption and send the file itself in chat.
Limits per post and per message
- A post holds at most 20 files. The composer says
You can attach up to 20 items, and the server refuses the 21st with “A post may hold at most 20 attachments. Detach one before adding another.” - A direct message holds at most 10 files.
- The same file can be on many posts at once without being copied — see Reusing a file on more than one post.
Large files
Files at or above 64 MiB are uploaded in 16 MiB pieces, four at a time. You do not configure any of this, but it is why a big video’s progress moves in steps rather than smoothly.
An upload session stays open for 24 hours. Within that window an interrupted upload can be picked up again; after it, you start over.
Uploading is not creator-only. Any signed-in account can add files to its own library, which is what lets a fan send you a photo or a video in chat. Publishing a post is the creator-only part, not the upload.
