How do I pause or stop taking new orders?
For creators who need to close the door for a while — pausing one offer, capping your work in progress, and closing custom requests for your whole profile.
Pause the offer. On the Offers tab of Marketplace, each offer row has a switch. Turn it off and you see Offer paused.; turn it back on and you see Offer is live.
Pausing stops new orders for that offer and is reversible. A Paused offer can be published again at any time.
Do not use Archive offer for this. Archiving takes the offer off your profile and the marketplace for good and cannot be undone. Pausing is the reversible one.
Capping how much work you take at once
Your profile has a setting for this: Commissions at once. Choose No limit, or a number — 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 or 100 at a time.
With a limit set, the hint tells you what buyers see: “Once that many commissions are open, buyers see Fully booked until one finishes.” Buyers browsing your services see Fully booked instead of an order button, and it clears itself when a commission completes.
With No limit, buyers can commission you however much work you already have.
The whole-profile switch
The Offers tab has a Custom requests card with a switch, showing Open or Closed.
Set it to Closed and buyers can no longer send you new custom requests; set it to Open and they can again. It covers custom requests for your whole profile — your published offers keep taking orders unless you pause them individually.
Weekly slots
The Slots this week card shows your custom-order capacity for the week. Together with pausing an offer and the Commissions at once cap, it is what limits how much new work reaches you.
What pausing does not do
Pausing an offer stops new orders for it. Orders you have already taken are unaffected — they keep their state and still need delivering, and money already in escrow stays where it is until the delivery is accepted.
