How creators get credited for traffic

For creators wondering why one sale split 75/25 and another 50/50 — the only route that earns credit, and the 7-day window it lasts.

A sale splits 75/25 in your favour when EVVA can prove the buyer arrived through one of your tracking links within the last 7 days. Otherwise it splits 50/50.

There is exactly one route to that proof: somebody clicked a /r/ tracking link you created, and then bought within 7 days.

What earns credit, and what does not

What you sharedDoes it earn credit?
A tracking link from the Tracking links screenYes. This is the only route.
Your profile addressNo.
Your direct storefront link (/s/)No.
A post addressNo.
A buyer who found you in searchNo.
A buyer who found you in the home feedNo.
A buyer who found you browsing the marketplaceNo.
A buyer who found you on the EVVA homepage or in a suggestion railNo.

This is the single most costly misunderstanding on the platform. Putting your plain EVVA profile address in your bio brings you buyers, and every one of those sales splits 50/50. The same audience arriving through a tracking link splits 75/25. Replace the plain address with a tracking link.

How the credit is actually formed

  1. Somebody opens your /r/ link. EVVA resolves it, sets a short-lived marker on the visit and sends them on to your profile.
  2. They land on EVVA, which checks that marker and records an arrival.
  3. That arrival becomes a touch — a recorded moment where you brought somebody in. An arrival is the only kind of event that becomes a touch. Nothing else on the platform creates one.
  4. When that visitor buys — then or within 7 days — the split is decided from the touch.

The arrival is only recorded on two licences: EVVA verified the tracking redirect anchored the visit, or the address carried a recognised marketing parameter. A cold, direct visit records nothing at all, which is why the whole right-hand column of the table above says no.

What makes a touch qualify

A touch has to carry all of this to move the split:

  • a real reference to you as the creator,
  • the creator-link channel,
  • a link kind EVVA recognises as creator-owned,
  • a date inside the 7-day window,
  • a recorded verdict that the evidence was admissible.

A touch with no recorded evidence verdict — an old record made before that rule existed, for example — counts as inadmissible rather than being given the benefit of the doubt. The order then splits 50/50. EVVA fails closed here on purpose: a split is only moved on evidence it can show.

The most recent qualifying touch wins

Credit is not “whoever brought them first” and not “for as long as they keep coming back”. The decision takes the most recent qualifying touch, within its window. Your window is 7 days; a platform-side arrival has a window of 1 day and can displace yours if it is more recent. Touches within about five minutes of each other are treated as a near-tie.

So a buyer who clicked your link twelve days ago and bought today is not credited to you. Re-sharing an active tracking link is what keeps the window open.

Marketplace sales

A marketplace sale to a buyer you originally brought through your link, inside the window, keeps your 75/25 split.

If EVVA brought the buyer back more recently than your link did, that platform-side touch is the most recent qualifying one and the order splits 50/50 instead — its window is 1 day, so it takes a recent EVVA-side arrival to displace you. In practice: keep re-sharing the link, and your touch stays the most recent one whichever route the buyer takes to check out.

The decision is made once

The split is decided at checkout and then fixed to the order. It is not recalculated later, and it cannot be changed retrospectively — not by creating a link afterwards, and not by asking.

If the system that makes the decision cannot be reached at that moment, the purchase is refused rather than guessed. EVVA does not fall back to the platform-favourable split during an outage.
