What happens when you open your creator account
For verified applicants about to press “Open my creator account” — what that button creates, what you keep, and what to do if it refuses.
One button does everything. Open my creator account creates your public creator profile, grants creator access to the account you already have, and creates your monthly subscription plan at the price you set. It either all happens or none of it does.
What the button creates
Creator access on your existing account
Creator access is added. Your buyer access is kept, not replaced — it is the same account, now able to do both.
Pressing the button again afterwards is harmless. It does nothing new, and two presses at the same moment still leave exactly one creator account.

Use “Go to my creator page” rather than typing the address
Go to my creator page does a full page load, and that is what picks up the creator access you have just been granted. Signing in on the creator app does the same thing, and with creator access it takes you straight to the studio.
If the button refuses
“That name is already taken.”
Another creator claimed the handle you chose while you were verifying. Handles are unique, so your account needs a different one before it can open, and at this stage your answers are locked — ask support to set the new handle for you. See choosing your display name and handle.
“Something went wrong. Please try again.”
The server checks everything again from scratch when you press the button and will not take the page’s word for it. This message usually means something was not actually complete — often a tab that has been open since before the decision arrived. Reload the page: it rebuilds from your saved answers and shows you the real state.
You do not lose your buyer account
Activation adds creator access, it does not swap one for the other. The same email address and password sign you in on both apps, and everything you had as a buyer — subscriptions, purchases, messages — is untouched.
The two apps keep their own sign-in. Signing in on one does not necessarily carry you into the other, so expect to sign in on the creator app the first time you use it.
What comes next
Your page is live from activation. Setting up your profile and publishing your first post happen in the studio, not in setup — setup is finished and does not reopen.
