When identity checks are unavailable
For anyone stuck at the last step of creator setup with no button to press — what the message means, what happens to your answers, and what to do.
That message means the check could not be started just then. Your six answers are saved and stay saved, so nothing is lost: come back a little later and you carry on from this same step.
The two messages
Arriving at the last step and finding no button at all:
Identity checks are temporarily unavailable. Your answers are saved — come back shortly and you will carry on from here.
Or, if you pressed Verify and start earning and it failed:
We cannot start the identity check right now. Please try again shortly.
What the message means
Starting a check is a request EVVA makes to its verification partner. When that request cannot be completed just then — the partner is unreachable, or it refuses the request — setup holds you at this step instead of sending you into a check that would fail. It is nothing about your account or your answers, and it clears once the partner answers again.
The page cannot say how long that will be, so there is little point refreshing it in a loop. Close it, come back later and open setup again — your place is held either way. If the message is still there much later, contact support.
What happens to your answers
Nothing is lost and nothing expires.
- All six answers stay stored on the server. Close the tab, use another device, come back in a week — you arrive at this same step with everything filled in.
- Nothing deletes an unfinished application. Open the setup page whenever you want to try again: it reads your current state each time, so you always see whether the check can start.
- The handle you chose stays reserved to your unfinished application while it sits there.

What you cannot do instead
There is no route around the check. Creator access is granted only when you press Open my creator account, and that button only appears once you are verified. While you are held here you cannot publish, set up a storefront or take subscriptions — those all live behind creator access.
Your ordinary EVVA account is unaffected throughout. You can keep using EVVA as a buyer exactly as before.
When it comes back
Open the creator app, sign in, and you land on setup at this same step. Once a check can be started again, the button reads Verify and start earning and the flow carries on as described in how identity verification works.
